The Problem If you are using a video conferencing platform and want to have a lot of people attending you probably want to only have a few speakers and a lot of viewers - in a real life conference you normally have a few people up on stage and perhaps a few roving microphones for questions. If you are using a platform where everybody is equal you may have noticed that there is the issue of people who are supposed to just be viewing can still, often accidentally, interrupt the call because their mic is on.

Just a quick note about a project I have been using privately that is now up on Github - ReVPN. revpn - Sonicwall with easy route control This is a classic solving my own problem project - I use Sonicwall at work but I don’t want all the routes it pushes, particularly I don’t want to have the default route over the VPN because it is slower than my home internet connection.

I have just started using Wireguard and didn’t find any clear and concise instructions. There are many pages about Wireguard, just none that clicked for me. These are my notes. 1. Install Wireguard I am not going to re-write these instructions - they are simple enough. 2. Create Keys Wireguard authentication is based on public key infrastructure so you are going to need a private key and public key for each user.
